Colin Williams
Director/English Teacher
Colin began his teaching career in the Czech Republic in 1997, after gaining his TEFL qualification from Leeds University (accredited by Cambridge University). Since then he has taught in Italy, France, Portugal and the UK and as a result speaks several foreign languages, including Bulgarian. He has considerable experience in training students for internationally recognised exams, such as FCE, CAE, CPE, BEC, IELTS, TOEFL, SAT ILEC and GMAT. When he's not teaching, Colin is a big fan of Newcastle United.

Vicky Williams
Director/English Teacher
Vicky joined Colin in the teaching sphere in 1998 in Italy, and has also worked in Paris, Lisbon and several cities in the UK. She has prepared students for all the Cambridge Exams (PET, KET, FCE, CAE, CPE and BEC) as well as the American University Entrance Exam TOEFL, and the Management Exam GMAT. Vicky also gained her CELTA qualification from Leeds University, in 1998. When she isn't teaching, Vicky enjoys playing the piano and clarinet, and looking after her children.

Darren Quinn

English Teacher

Darren is from Donegal, Ireland. He obtained his Honours degree in English Literature from the University of Ulster followed by his CELTA from the Manchester Academy of English. He also holds a diploma in journalism. He has taught English in South Korea, and has been working for the Real English School since February 2010 in Veliko Tarnovo. He has experience at teaching all levels and has been particularly popular with exam groups for TOEFL, GMAT and the Cambridge examinations.   He enjoys travelling, reading, painting and learning Bulgarian.

Kate Rabbitte
English Teacher

Born in Yorkshire and raised in Shropshire, Kate is now in her second spell of teaching at the Real English School. Kate worked for the school for a short period in 2007 and returned in September 2010, working in both Pleven and Veliko Tarnovo. She gained her teaching qualification in Manchester. She has experience of teaching all levels, from children’s groups to exam classes. Kate's hobbies include entertaining friends with her culinary experiments, running and following the misfortunes of Doncaster Rovers Football Club.

Henry Bridge
English Teacher

Henry began his teaching career in South Korea, and after gaining his CELTA from International House Dublin, has taught in Ireland, Korea, Malaysia and Bulgaria. He has 5 years experience teaching all levels and ages, including preparing students for TOEFL, FCE, CAE, CPE and SAT exams. Before embarking on his teaching adventure, he graduated in Business and Legal Studies from University College, Dublin, and worked in a bank for 18 months. Outside of the classroom, Henry is a keen sports fan, particularly football, cricket, rugby and hurling. His favourite teams are Manchester United and Bray Wanderers, so feel free to start a conversation about Berbatov with him! Henry teaches in both Veliko Turnovo and Pleven, and wishes he had a helicopter.

Becky Lloyd
English Teacher

Becky has been teaching in Bulgaria since the beginning of 2011, first in Sofia and now for the Real English School in Veliko Tarnovo. She has experience of teaching all levels of English and is currently teaching a variety of adult and children’s classes. Becky has property in Resen and is now busy renovating her house and designing the garden. When not teaching, Becky enjoys cooking, reading and exploring the beautiful Bulgarian countryside with her Cocker Spaniel puppy.

Alexandra Hristova
Bulgarian Teacher

Alexandra has been teaching Bulgarian to foreigners in the Real English School since 2010. Originally from Razgrad, Alexandra moved to Veliko Tarnovo initially as a student to study Economics and German. An enthusiast of Modern Languages, Alexandra has also gained the CPE exam after classes at the Real English School and speaks fluent Spanish. She is also learning French, Sami and how to play the piano.
